Ibaizabal Publishers and Gestionet have jointly designed a new videogame, with technical advice from EVE (the Basque Energy Authority), about sustainable development and in order to encourage the Basque public, especially young people, to be aware of the need to have a balance between our surrounding environment and society at large. To this end, the game was devised with the following "plot" in mind: you have to achieve sustainable development on an island which has limited resources, is suffering considerable contamination and where its inhabitants are demanding housing, food, work and, above all, a Healthy Environment!
This is an application apt for all ages and interests, given that it has three levels of difficulty. The first or easiest level is aimed at 10-year-old + children. The middle and difficult levels are aimed equally at adolescents and adults.
Given the importance of the values encouraged here, we believe the product should have the widest diffusion possible amongst Basque society. |
